Writing on Twitter, the bank said: “We are really excited about the launch of Apple Pay and will bring Barclays debit cards and Barclaycard credit cards to Apple Pay in the future.”
The news comes as Apple Pay’s rollout finally begins across the country.
HSBC customers were left disappointed after they discovered they could not use the service, despite their bank being listed as a partner for the July launch.
The bank has since said that it will be launching on Apple Pay later this month. First Direct, which had also been expected to offer Apple Pay access straight away, will also offer Apple Pay by the end of July.
